Insider tells why Anonymous ‘might well be the most powerful organization on Earth’
Christopher Doyon, a.k.a. Commander X, sits atop a hillside in an undisclosed location in Canada, watching a reporter and photographer make their way along a narrow path to join him, away from the prying eyes of law enforcement.
It’s been a few weeks of encrypted emails back and forth, working out the security protocol to follow for interviewing Doyon, one of the brains behind Anonymous, now a fugitive from the FBI.
Q: As strictly an online army of hackers, how powerful is Anonymous?
A: Anonymous is kind of like the big buff kid in school who had really bad self-esteem then all of a sudden one day he punched someone in the face and went, “Holy s— I’m really strong!” Scientology (one of Anonymous’s first targets) was the punch in the face where Anonymous began to realize how incredibly powerful they are. There’s a really good argument at this point that we might well be the most powerful organization on Earth. The entire world right now is run by information. Our entire world is being controlled and operated by tiny invisible 1s and 0s that are flashing through the air and flashing through the wires around us. So if that’s what controls our world, ask yourself who controls the 1s and the 0s? It’s the geeks and computer hackers of the world.

Cornell Students Using ‘Trayvon’ As A Racial Slur
The Sigma Pi fraternity at Cornell University threw objects and made a reference to the late Trayvon Martin at black students Sunday morning, according to the school’s Cornell Daily Sun.
Sophomore student Beverly Fonkwo was walking home with her friend when a group from the fraternity group’s house began to throw items at them. When Fonkwo and her friend asked them to stop twice, Fonkwo said the group continued to toss the objects and responded by saying, “Come up here, Trayvon” and other racial comments.
“I feel like it was targeted and racially motivated, we felt very threatened,” Fonkwo told the Daily Sun. “Meanwhile, the assailants were just laughing at the whole situation until we called the police and then they ran inside.”
Sigma Phi President Zach Smith told the Daily Sun that one person has been identified by the fraternity as the person throwing the bottles, but was not a member of the fraternity.
Cornell Chief of Police Kathy Zoner confirmed Fonkwo’s story, but could not disclose more information on the ongoing investigation, which is led by Ithaca Police.

Another Murder Going Unpunished!
I got this email from MoveOn (it’s another change/petition sort of website) and I had to share it —
On December 23, 2011, my goddaughter, Jasmine Thar, a 16-year-old African American, was shot and killed while in my mother’s front yard in Chadbourn, North Carolina.
When the shot rang out, Jasmine was preparing for a routine shopping trip and doing what most teens do—texting. Two others, my niece and myself, were also injured in the shooting.
The 23-year-old Caucasian male who fired the fatal shot from the house across the street was taken in for questioning, but he has not been charged with a crime of any kind.
Because he claims it was an accident, the police let him go—despite the fact that he admits he fired the shot and police found a Confederate flag and Nazi literature in his home.
The message being sent is that you can shoot and kill someone like Jasmine and get away with it by simply claiming it was an accident. That can’t be the world we live in.

The park itself will also serve as a center for food, leisure and information, and then at 2 p.m. Occupy will march to Union Square where it will rally with the larger May Day coalition—unions, labor groups and immigrant rights organizations that have traditionally demonstrated each year on May 1. Ron Paul is the only candidate who will restore the American Republic. In the past 100 years, America has forgotten that limited government is the only path we can take if we wish to ensure liberty to the masses and have the maximum amount of prosperity for our people….
